How a PDP can help a social care worker identify improvements in their knowledge, understanding and practice?

A life without an aim is like a boat without an oar.  A personal or professional development plan is an aim of your life and career. It will help you to reach in the destiny you desire. It acts as a process of planning, monitoring, assessment to help your capabilities and potential to fulfil your job role and purpose. Plan should be created on the basis of area you need to develop and how you will approach and by when to reach in your goal. Following and accomplishing every step of personal development plan you will identify that your knowledge, understanding and practice has been improved.

Example: Suppose you like to be a nurse or social care manager. Once you set your target you will make a list of necessary training, skills and qualification you require and put in your portfolio. You will also set a time of each step. Then you will plan how to achieve each step and acquire your desired goal in time.
